I’m enjoying PKD’s The Man in the High Castle. It’s one of his more coherent books – it would be a good introduction to his writing.

But Israel couldn’t get away with this sort of thing if, say, Europe actually cared. There no longer seems to be any leverage in use. It always seems to me that Israel is testing the waters in such cases. Everyone should bear in mind that it would like to do much worse. To the extent that it’s policies are ignored, it feels free to do more.
